The mock System Stress Event period is 01/03/2018 at 11:00 – 15:00 (Settlement Periods 23 to and including 30)

Dear CM Participant,

You will have received a letter on the 13th April and Webinar on the 26^th April jointly from Electricity Settlements Company EMR Settlements Limited and the Delivery Body, which explained the Mock System Stress Event and timeline that will be undertaken this month (see latest news on EMR portal). The purpose of this email is to inform you of the settlement period selected for the exercise and explain the data submissions required from you, in order to test the Stress Event systems and processes.

Data to be submitted to the Delivery Body- no later than 17:00 on 03/05/18 (3WD)

· If the CMU participates in Relevant Balancing Services during the stress event, you will need to complete and submit the correct System Stress Event Tool to the Delivery Body, in order to support the association of Relevant Balancing Services to the CMU during the System Stress Event.

- DSR CMU's are required to provide extra data (6weeks of data) to determine the baseline demand (as per schedule 2 of the CM rules).

· If there is no Relevant Balancing Services data to submit for a CMU during the stress event, you are not required to complete the tool however it is advised to take part in the exercise and fill in the tool with 'n/a' against the balancing services column.

Metered data must be submitted by your elected Metering Pathway to EMR Settlements (EMRS) no later than 17:00 on 14/05/18 (9WD)

· For BM units – No further action is required.

· For MPANs via the D0357 – the elected Half Hourly Data Aggregators (HHDA) should provide data on your behalf.

· Self–Submission of data via Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) – The procedure is stated in section 3.2 'Self-Submission by a Capacity Provider' in WP195 – Capacity Market and CFD Metered Data. Please be advised the data must be submitted for a Settlement Day, and not just the relevant Settlement Periods. The metered data should be provided using a CSV defined file format (e.g. in Appendix 2) uploaded via SFTP. The requirements of the CSV file are defined in Appendix 1.

Demand Side Response (DSR) CMU's

· DSR CMU's are required to submit metered data for at least six weeks prior to the Stress Event period within the above timescales. This is required to be able to perform the DSR Baseline calculation.
